Flanders will host new European resource Centre for inclusion and diversity
The European Commission announced that the new European SALTO Youth Center for inclusion and diversity will be hosted in Flanders. SALTO centers provide support and training opportunities for youth. Following a call among 35 national youth agencies in Europe, the Flemish organisation for international youth work JINT is the laureate to host the thematic center on inclusion and diversity. The Commission praised the clear vision of the role and mission of the new SALTO, the comprehensive structure in line with the objectives and priorities of the network, and the efficient budget of the Flemish proposal.
SALTO-Youth is a network of eight Resource Centres working on European priority areas within the youth field. It works within the Erasmus+ Youth programme, the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport. SALTO-Youth provides non-formal learning resources for youth workers and youth leaders. It also organises training and contact-making activities to support organisations and National Agencies.
