Flanders at work during the 'European Week of Regions and Cities'

European Week of Regions and Cities 2017

From 9 to 12 October, the Committee of the Regions organizes the yearly European Week of Regions and Cities. During this week, cities and regions will show their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Cohesion Policy, and demonstrate the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. Flanders takes up an active role during this European week of regions and cities. For example, Flanders speaks at the workshop "Strengthening the role of nations and regions in economic development". In addition Flanders shares its experiences with the European Semester during the session "Better administrative capacity at regional and local level to improve EU economic governance". The Liaison Agency Flanders-Europe vleva organizes the workshop "Transnational networks as regional change agents".
