INBOVEG - Vegetation surveys in Averbode Bos en Heide nature reserve in 2015, Flanders, Belgium

Details

This dataset comprises vegetation surveys conducted during the summer of 2015 in and around the nature reserve ‘Averbode Bos en Heide’ in Flanders (northern Belgium). The plant cover and abundance were recorded using the Londo scale in plots located largely within the Natura 2000 network (partially overlapping the Demervallei Special Area of Conservation). These inventories were carried out to provide field reference data in support of a remote sensing project focused on heathland habitat mapping. This dataset comes from INBOVEG, the Flemish vegetation database, also part of the Global Index of Vegetation-plot databases (GIV) and the European Vegetation Archive. This GBIF dataset contains the same data as in INBOVEG: its relevant GIV identification code is IV2015081416491500 (AverbodeBosHeide2015). To allow anyone to use this dataset, we have released the data to the public domain under a Creative Commons Zero waiver (http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/).
