MigFoRest International Study Day – 14 April 2026 | Hendrik Conscience Building, Brussels
Climate change poses major challenges for our forests. The seminar “Increasing forest resilience in North-West Europe through assisted migration: risks and opportunities” focuses on the concept of “assisted migration”: the strategic relocation of tree species between climatically different regions to make forests more resilient to climate change. We weigh up the advantages and risks from both a scientific and practical point of view. The study day is supported by Interreg North-West Europe and is part of the MigFoRest project, an international collaboration aimed at strengthening the resilience of forest ecosystems.
Discover how you, as a forest manager, can make crucial choices in tree species and origin!
