Annual Report Diplomatic Academy
The Diplomatic Academy is part of Flanders’ ambition to strengthen its diplomacy.
Establishing a Diplomatic Academy at the Flanders Chancellery and Foreign Office was a promise set out in the 2019-2024 Flemish Coalition Agreement.
The Diplomatic Academy launched its first training programme in 2022, with the first batch of prospective diplomats graduating in the summer of 2023. Most of them left for their posts immediately afterwards.
