Seabird monitoring at the Thornton Bank offshore wind farm. Lesser black-backed gull distribution in and around the wind farm using GPS logger data
INBO analysed GPS data of lesser black‐backed gulls (Larus fuscus) caught and tagged in the colonies at Ostend and Zeebrugge. After exploring general patterns in at‐sea presence and behaviour, three modelling exercises were performed to study the response of lesser black‐backed gulls towards the C‐Power turbines at the Thornton Bank offshore wind farm (OWF) in more detail.
