EPC label premium for energy renovations (Fluvius)

Does your home have a poor energy performance? If you carry out a deep renovation of your home within five years that significantly improves its energy performance certificate (EPC) label, you can get an EPC label premium. 

 

Conditions

  • The EPC label premium is available to all homeowners.
  • The EPC label premium is only granted for a home, residential building or residential unit with a substandard energy performance. This is demonstrated by means of an EPC that was issued in or after 2019.
  • The EPC label (letter code on the EPC):
    • the home has an E or F EPC label and must achieve at least a C label through renovation within five years
    • the residential unit (flat) has a D, E or F EPC label and must achieve at least a B label through renovation within five years (from the date of the first EPC).
  • Demolition/reconstruction is not eligible for the EPC label premium.
  • The achieved EPC label must be demonstrated again after five years by means of a new EPC.
  • The new EPC must be no more than 12 months old at the time of application for the EPC label premium.
  • The amount of the premium depends on the EPC label achieved following renovation(s).
