This study In de framework of the research project Inventory and Historical analyses of the Seaschelde environment, describes soil profiles of 4 tidal marshes and adjacent mudflats along the estuarine salinity gradient of this highly dynamic ecosystem. Based on the analytical data of these soils have been classified according to the international classification system for soil (World Reference Base).
