High-Level Dialogue on Connected and Cooperative Automated Mobility (CCAM)

Within the context of the Belgian Presidency of the Council 2024 the Flemish Ministry of Mobility and Public Works kindly invites you to attend the High-Level Dialogue on Connected and Cooperative Automated Mobility (CCAM) on the 18th and 19th of June 2024 in Ghent, Belgium.

In 2016, the Amsterdam Declaration laid down the most important points for European cooperation in the development of connected and automated driving, and the organisation of a High-Level Dialogue on a regular basis was agreed upon.

The forum aims at knowledge exchange and cooperation between EU member states to further develop and harmonize the legislative framework for connected and automated driving. After editions under the German, Swedish, Austrian, Finnish, Lithuanian and French Presidencies of the Council, Flanders will host this forum on June 18 and 19, 2024.

The High-Level Dialogue will build on the work taken up in the CCAM Partnership(opens in new window), for which our colleagues of the Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport will host the States Representatives Group in February 2024. The High Level Dialogue will provide a forum to highlight the policy side of connected and automated mobility, to address the question which no regret measures can be agreed upon and which steps are needed to translate research results into rollout and policy.

During this event, we will specifically focus on developments in the field of shared autonomous transport as well as the physical and digital infrastructure. To allow participants to really experience the power and benefits of autonomous mobility, a number of test and demonstration sessions will be organized.
