Recognition as a laboratory for waste, other materials, and soil samples

To be able to make a legally valid statement on the environmental quality of waste and other materials, sampling and analysis must be carried out by a recognised laboratory for the sampling and analysis of waste and other materials.

To be able to make a legally valid statement on the environmental quality of soils, the analysis must be carried out by a recognised laboratory for soil sample analysis.

These laboratories are recognised by the Soil Information Management Division of the Public Waste Agency of Flanders (OVAM).

Procedure

The recognition for

sampling and/or analysis in the discipline ‘waste and other materials’
analysis in the discipline ‘soil’, subdomain ‘soil remediation’

can be requested from the Public Waste Agency of Flanders (OVAM). To do so, you must fully complete the template (in Dutch) and submit it together with the required attachments.
