Fayat scholarships: top institutions and disciplines

Candidates can only apply for a Fayat scholarship for a programme at one of the top ten institutions. They can also choose a programme in a discipline other than their current one, if they can justify why they want to do so.

Annual selection

The top institutions and the associated disciplines are selected on the basis of the QS World University Rankings.

The chosen program must meet the following requirements:

  • It must be an additional master’s program (doctoral programs are not eligible).

  • The program must be attended on-site (distance learning is not accepted).

  • The program may last longer than 24 months, but funding is provided for a maximum of 24 months.

Applicants may select multiple programs across different fields of study. For each program and field, however, a separate motivation must be included in the application form. It is also possible to choose a program in a field different from the one in which the applicant obtained their degree.
