Welcome to the story of a future in travel and hospitality that is being re-authored as we speak. This story is currently unfolding in the governmental office of Visit Flanders and its Holiday Participation Centre. Appreciative Inquiry, Generative Journalism and the Re-authoring work collaborated to facilitate transformational ways of seeing and being that re-ignited the dignity of all who participate in creating possibilities for people to travel and to host travellers. Together we will explore the practices of listening, writing and sharing of real-life stories that re-author the future of travel.
Welkom in ons verhaal over een toekomst van reizen en gastvrijheid, een verhaal dat zichzelf aanhoudend herschrijft terwijl we erover spreken. Het verhaal ontvouwt zich bij Toerisme Vlaanderen, het steunpunt Vakantieparticipatie en het netwerk ‘Iedereen Verdient Vakantie’. Via Appreciative Inquiry en de Re-authoring benadering groeiden daar nieuwe manieren van kijken en zijn die de waardigheid van elke deelnemer centraal stelden in het samen creëren van nieuwe mogelijkheden voor wie reist en wie reizigers ontvangt. In de publicatie exploreren we de praktijken van luisteren, schrijven en delen van levensechte verhalen die de toekomst van toerisme mee vormgeven.
