Spatial Policy Plan Flanders. Summary preliminary draft
On 11 September 2026, the Flemish Government took note of the preliminary draft of the BRV. This publication provides a summary of that preliminary draft. It forms the basis for targeted consultation and dialogue. This will be followed by provisional adoption: the Flemish Government will then approve a draft BRV. A public consultation will be organised on this draft, during which everyone will have the opportunity to submit comments.
This executive summary sets out the main points of the strategic vision and the relevant policy frameworks of the Spatial Policy Plan Flanders. It has no independent legal or policy status. The strategic vision and the individual policy frameworks determine the precise objectives, policy choices, actions and conditions of application.
