Digital learning and experimentation at Muntpunt

Should we all go to Muntpunt in Brussels? According to the Flemish Resilience recovery plan, we should! To this end, the Government of Flanders invested no less than 380,000 euros in a complete digital makeover of this Dutch-language library which acts as meeting place, co-working space and so much more.

The biggest eye-catcher? De Grid: a multimedia creative makerspace where you learn and experiment by doing. With a real Medialab, where you will find no fewer than eight powerful computers (Mac and Windows), which are each equipped with professional software such as Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro), AutoCAD, etc.

You can also find numerous support tools there, such as drawing pads and mobile recording devices. Thanks to an investment of 380,000 euros from the Flemish Resilience recovery plan, absolutely everything has been given a thorough makeover, so that you can enjoy the latest and most powerful technologies to make your digital dreams come true.

But Muntpunt’s story does not end with De Grid or the Medialab. We have also invested in:

  • new audio and video equipment to make the meeting and event rooms even more attractive and to allow the live streaming of activities at Muntpunt to a wider audience
  • new computers and software in the busy reading room.

Thanks to all these investments, Muntpunt is becoming more than ever a place where Brussels and non-Brussels residents can meet, collaborate and learn about cutting-edge digital infrastructure. A place where we do everything we can to bridge the digital divide and give everyone the chance to develop their talents. Why not come and visit us soon?
