Validate your experience through VAC
Have you gained a lot of experience through your work, leisure activities or courses you have taken?
Would you like to use this experience to quickly and efficiently obtain proof of what you already know and can do, or to follow a shortened training programme?
This is possible through VAC.
VAC stands for “Validation of Acquired Competencies”. This means that you receive validation for the competencies you have already acquired through your experience. Competencies consist of skills and knowledge. In concrete terms, this is what you already know and can do.
By having your experience recognised, you can realise your dreams, find work, change jobs, continue studying, develop personally, etc.
You can use VAC to have your professional experience recognised at a validation body by taking tests. You can also use your experience to obtain an exemption from a course. If you obtain exemptions, you will then only need to learn what you need in a shortened course.
In addition, you can also make use of one of the other VAC options.
Demonstrating professional experience at a validation body
You can contact a validation body to demonstrate your experience for a number of professions.
Using experience to obtain an exemption for a course
You can use your experience to obtain an exemption (in Dutch) for a course. If you obtain exemptions, you will then only need to learn what you need in a shortened course.
Other VAC options
In addition to demonstrating experience for a profession and making use of exemptions, there are other options (in Dutch) for having your experience recognised.
