The Agency for Facility Operations is committed to a more sustainable and ethically responsible procurement of natural stone by joining the TruStone initiative. This brings us together with a growing group of more than 30 local authorities in Flanders who, together with the Netherlands, are working towards a fair and sustainable natural stone sector.

TruStone is an international CSR covenant focused on transparency, environmental care, and respect for human rights throughout the natural stone supply chain. Through this collaboration, we help combat child labor and advocate for fair wages and improved working conditions.

With this commitment, the Agency for Facility Operations contributes to a broader governmental movement toward responsible and future-oriented purchasing. We also encourage other public institutions to join this important initiative.
