Training vouchers for employees
Would you like to follow a training course to strengthen your position on the labour market? You may be entitled to a training voucher, which you can use to fund part of that training.
Conditions
Whether you qualify for a training voucher is determined by:
- your employment situation: only for employees
- your place of residence: in Flanders or in the Brussels-Capital Region
- your level of education
Which training courses?
You can use training vouchers to pay for:
- a training course that is registered in the Training course database of Flemish training incentives (in Dutch)
- only valid if you are low- or medium skilled (you have at most a certificate of secondary education)
- career-oriented training, regardless of your level of education
- career-oriented training is a course that is necessary to fullfill the personal development plan (Dutch: persoonlijk ontwikkelingsplan/POP), the result of career guidance.
Procedure
Apply for your digital training voucher online via the WSE portal(opens in new window). You can do so up to 3 months after the starting date of the training course.
The training voucher bears the name of the applicant, the name of the training course and the name of the training provider.
Allowance
The value of a training voucher is equal to the subsidy amount you receive from the Flemisch government. This value is automatically calculated based on the information provided in your application. The subsidy amount is equal to half of the invoice amount of the training, with a maximum of 125 euros per school year (from 1 September to 31 August).
In 2 situations, you are entitled to a higher subsidy, which is automatically calculated when you apply.
