Framework agreement
The Agency for Facility Operations signed a framework agreement for the supply of sustainable office materials with Staples Belgium. Through this framework agreement, we at The Facility Management Company even won the European Procura+ Award for the most sustainable public procurement of the year 2018.
Our main sustainability objectives for this framework agreement are:
Closing material loops by ensuring that at least 50% of the products are wholly or partly made from recycled or renewable materials, and by ensuring that ink cartridges and toners find their way back to a second life through recycling or remanufacturing.
Reducing the climate impact of transportation, as supplying office materials typically involves significant transport emissions.
