Step-by-step guide for registration

  • Stap 1

The completed justification form is a key part of the selection process. It includes a summary of your final project, along with an explanation of why your project deserves the Future Proef Award, based on the three assessment criteria.

Keep the assessment criteria close while filling out the justification form: this will increase your chances of receiving an award. Take your time and make it something beautiful. You can download the appropriate document here.

Remember to save your progress regularly on your computer. Once you’re finished, save the document as a PDF and have it ready for STEP 2.

  • Stap 2

Have the following documents ready to upload with the registration form, in addition to the completed justification form from step 1:

    • A digital copy of your final thesis/project (PDF), if you have a written thesis or report.

    • Images and/or photos from your final project or that match your project, to be published on our website if you are nominated. If the image or photo was not created by you, please include the source. We require at least one image or photo in landscape format (ideally 16:9) to use as a thumbnail on the overview page.

    • Additional attachments: These are especially important if you do not have a written final project (e.g. a written description, presentation (PDF), photos, video, etc.). If you do have a written final project, you may still provide extra material to help visualize your results.

    Files larger than 30 MB?

If your files are larger than 30 MB in total, you won’t be able to upload them directly through the form. In that case, please include a download link in the designated field in the registration form. Make sure the link is valid indefinitely and accessible to anyone (so do not use a WeTransfer link from a free account).

  • Stap 3

If you are submitting a group project, fill in the name of the contact person for the entire group. You can also add the names of all students in your group in the form.

Your information will be passed on to your higher education institution. They will keep you informed about the progress of the preselection. By submitting the form, you also give your consent for the Department of Environment to share your data with your institution. These data will only be used in the context of the Future Proef Award.

Make sure that you have all the documents ready from steps 1 and 2, as you will need to upload them with the online registration form.

  • Stap 4

You will receive a copy in your mailbox from the address you provided, which means we have received your registration.

Shortly after the registration deadline (October 8, 2024), you will receive a message from your institution with more information about the pre-selection.

    Best of luck!
