Our Analytical Laboratory is located in Geraardsbergen and specialises in analysing water and solid samples. The laboratory has advanced equipment and performs measurements in accordance with the ISO 17025 quality standard. We examine, among other things:

• Acidity, conductivity and oxygen content (field equipment)
• Carbon, nitrogen, mercury and texture (analysers)
• Minerals and metals (ICP-AES)
• Nutrients (ion chromatography, spectrophotometry)
• Chlorophyll, BOD and COD

All measurement data is centralised in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and, after quality control, forwarded to a data warehouse. The laboratory plays an important role in collecting reliable data for scientific research. We work closely with researchers, listen to their needs, contribute ideas about suitable analysis techniques and help translate the results into useful insights. In this way, as a team, we actively contribute to innovative projects and the development of new knowledge.
