The Communication and Policy team focuses on the strategic direction, policy support and organisational development of INBO. A central focus is the management of both internal and external relations through stakeholder management, participatory working and communication. At an organisational level, the team makes a vital contribution to risk management and change management.

In addition, the team plays a key role in the policy cycle through the preparation of policy papers and budget notes, the monitoring of the coalition agreement and the administrative support of various consultative bodies. The coordination of scientific programmes, research projects and strategic multi-year planning ensures that the long-term vision remains a priority. Finally, the team facilitates operational activities by organising events, supporting the secretariat of the Administrator-General and efficiently handling advisory, parliamentary and cabinet enquiries.
