GuardIAS Massive Online Open Course
The GuardIAS project, “Guarding European Waters from Invasive Alien Species”, is launching a free online course on the prevention of invasive alien species.
The aim of GuardIAS is to improve the detection of invasive alien species in both marine and freshwater habitats using new methods, thereby preventing their spread. In addition, the project also works to increase knowledge transfer between science and the public.
The first course, “IAS Prevention”, offers a comprehensive introduction to the crucial topic of bioinvasions. The course is intended for professionals, researchers and students in environmental management, nature conservation and aquatic sciences. The course is interactive and dynamic.
