Details
De Vlaamse Waterweg nv wants to know what role the Sigma Plan (estuarine areas and wetland areas) plays in climate mitigation.INBO conducted large-scale carbon stock monitoring in the Sigma areas. This data will form the basis of this study. INBO will analyse this data in collaboration with the universities. INBO will focus on the first year of the research plan, with an emphasis on applied scientific research.
Furthermore, INBO will mainly use its expertise to translate fundamental scientific insights into advice for Vlaamse Waterweg nv.
