Blauwalgproblematiek in Putten-West, een systeemanalyse
The ecological condition of the pools is primarily determined by the high availability of nutrients, combined with internal eutrophication processes. Given that the main external sources of nutrients (such as water inflows, atmospheric nitrogen deposition and waterbird droppings) can only be directly managed to a limited extent, the most realistic management strategy lies in influencing internal processes and the structure of the food web.
