Patrijzenmonitoring in Vlaanderen. Analyse van de controletellingen in de periode 2022-2025
The checks carried out by a consultancy firm between 2022 and 2025 on the counts included both targeted and non-targeted checks. The targeted checks in 2025 were based on anomalous results from the combinations of observations made between 2021 and 2024. Based on the data from 2022, 2023 and 2024, we find no demonstrable difference between the density based on the consultancy firm’s data and that based on the data from the WBE counters. For 2025, however, for the WBE units that were audited, an average of 3.20 breeding pairs per 100 ha fewer (SE = 0.66) were found based on the consultancy’s data than on the data from the WBE counters.
