As vegetation ecologist and phytosociologist I invest my expertise in tidal systems like the Schelde estuary, in particular in tidal marshes where I monitor the vegetation. The ecology, restoration and management of tidal marshes also belong to my field of knowledge.

I do research on dike vegetations and monitor them so a management proposal can be given.

Within the framework of Natura 2000 I monitor and assess the saline and tidal vegetations.
