Damiano Oldoni works as Resarch Software Engineer for the Open science lab for biodiversity hosted by the Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO). His mission is trying to create order in the world of taxonomy, indicators and alike. He does so by writing open and documented software (R, Python) to help his colleagues to speed up their research. He is one of the initiators and promotors of the INBO coding club, a peer-learning R-group. He is involved in several projects, including LifeWatch, TrIAS and RIPARIAS.
