Peter Desmet is passionate about open data and open science. He works as open data coordinator for the Open science lab for biodiversity at the Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO). As biodiversity informatician, he writes software and documentation, publishes open datasets, develops international standards to share biodiversity information and coordinates the development of research infrastructures, with a focus on animal movement data. He is involved in several projects, including LifeWatch, GloBAM and TrIAS.
