Flanders highlights its fresh produce offering at Fruit Logistica 2026

Hal 27 – Booth A-50

From 4 to 6 February 2026, Berlin will once again be the global meeting place for the fruit, vegetable and potato industry. At Fruit Logistica, 36 Flemish companies and organisations will be represented at the joint stand of Flanders’ Agricultural Marketing Board (VLAM), contributing to this leading international trade fair.

Flanders will once again have a strong presence in 2026. At the heart of the stand is the Flandria quality label, recognised as a benchmark for sustainable production and the premium quality of Flemish family-run businesses. With around 70 fruit and vegetable varieties, ranging from aubergines to zucchini, Flanders highlights the breadth of its fresh produce offering.

The sector is undergoing significant change. In recent years, a wave of consolidation has reshaped both retail and the fruit and vegetable trade. This trend is also evident among Flemish suppliers, which are well positioned to meet higher requirements and supply larger volumes.

Climate conditions also play a key role. Thanks to its temperate climate, Flanders has emerged as a reliable partner in the context of climate change. Even countries such as Spain and Italy are increasingly focusing on stable supply chains.

FLIA nomination

The Flemish company Compack (Archi.Duc) is among the nominees for the FLIA. In conventional mushroom production, plastic packaging and mushroom residues are still commonly used, a solution that Compack considers unsustainable in the long term.

The company is rethinking sustainability by producing circular cellulose packaging from mushroom residues. These packaging solutions are plastic-free, PFAS-free, compostable, recyclable and compliant with PPWR regulations. This innovation not only reduces plastic use but also lowers paper consumption compared with traditional fibre-based packaging.
