Details
EmBrace is an inter- and transdisciplinary research project that aims to assess, learn from, and co-develop multifunctional protected landscapes as NBS for integrating food systems and biodiversity conservation. The overarching research questions are:1. How can collaboration in landscape coalitions overcome trade-offs and foster synergies between actors in multifunctional protected landscapes?
2. What is the added value of integrating food systems and biodiversity protection within mul-tifunctional protected landscapes?
3.How can local successful experiences be shared and amplified to enable transformative change at higher levels?
The case in which we are investigating this is the Zwinstreek in the region in West Flanders.
