Nature Restoration Law: eDNA

Details

A detailed Data Management Plan (DMP) and workflow for eDNA research has already been developed, which includes both the storage and processing of genetic data. There is also a need for support in processing and FAIR disclosure of eDNA-based observations and protocols in overarching, domain-specific data platforms such as the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA), and generic repositories such as Zenodo and protocols.io. In this way, the data will not only be operationally usable, but also structurally usable for the reporting obligations for the Nature Restoration Law and habitat reporting.
