Strategic Project Nature & Economy

Details

The way the current economy is organised contributes to the
biodiversity loss. At the same time, our economy is directly dependent on nature, both for providing materials and ecosystem services, and for providing a stable and fertile environment for our society. In addition, there is a lack of investment in nature restoration, even though it has been proven to bring enormous benefits. Nature and the economy are thus closely linked and mutually dependent. INBO wants to explore this connection further and ensure policies recognize fully the value of nature through plural valuation.
