The i-ngo aims to provide evidence-based support to international, European, national and regional policymakers and companies, involved in or active in improving sustainable use, management, safeguarding and restoring biodiversity, ecosystems, ecosystem services and the social involvement in them, through the integration of European interdisciplinary research capacity, integration of knowledge and clear communication about this. As a manager of the i-ngo, there is involvement in the full spectrum of activities, including multi-site experiment projects, high impact actions, research infrastructure, SPI-oriented conferences, the Eklipse mechanism, SPI activities, Horizon Scanning, etc.
