Flanders Ecosystem Accounting‐ Common farmland and forest bird condition accounts

The Common farmland bird indicator and Common forest bird indicator show how bird populations in farmland and forest areas change over time. The population trends are calculated using a statistical model.
there are several problems with the current method, but despite these limitations the data collected by the common breeding birds monitoring network (ABV) can be used to monitor the condition of cropland and grassland birds and of forest birds in Flanders. In order to comply completely with the proposed methodology by Brlík et al. (2021) some adaptions should be made.
