Recommended provenances of indigenous poplar and willow
Details
INBO is responsible for the quality of Flemish approved basic material for trees and shrubs and monitoring its registry. The current list of recommended provenances of trees and shrubs demonstrates shortcomings. For some species, for which focused interest exists from the forestry sector, there are no recommended provenances present on the list. The result is that no approved provenances can be offered by the Flemish nurseries. This is the case for the group of indigenous poplars. Provenances of indigenous willows are also not included in the list. This project aims at expanding the list of recommended provenances with suitable provenances / genotypes of indigenous poplar (Populus nigra, Populus tremula and Populus x canescens) and indigenous willow (Salix alba, Salix fragilis, Salix x rubens).Status | Uitgevoerd |
