Genetic evaluation of moor frog in the northern Netherlands (NL) (EVINBO)
Details
INBO was asked to investigate the effectiveness of a wildlife crossing based on genetic research on moor frogs in North Holland. The effect of the wildlife crossing was already investigated in 2019, six years after its construction. At that time, there were two clearly separated clusters on either side of the crossing. The client is interested in the extent of exchange in 2025-2026. The 2019 research: https://research.wur.nl/en/publications/populatie-genetische-nulmeting-heikikker-in-de-vechtstreek-noord-/INBO is responsible for the genetic processing (extraction and SSR) of the samples collected by RAVON (100 samples in total, 50 per side) and is investigating the effect of the wildlife passage by means of research into gene flow, genetic diversity and differentiation, among other things.
