Actieplan uitgangsmateriaal voor autochtoon en bosbouwkundig plantgoed
The results of this project will increase the harvest potential and production of forest plants in the future. We are also continuing to work with species that are currently less available. In this way, we are anticipating new demands from the forestry and nature sectors and can ensure sufficient harvest potential for these species in the long term.

abstract = "INBO has spent the last two years analysing the most important seed orchards of native origin in Flanders. We evaluated the condition of 24 shrub and tree species in 74 different seed orchards. We drew up recommendations for each location and species to keep the seed orchard as productive and healthy as possible. In addition, INBO produced thousands of new plants of nine different species from material from these seed orchards.

In this way, we are anticipating new demands from the forestry and nature sectors and can ensure sufficient harvest potential for these species in the long term.
