Agricultural Biodiversity Monitoring Network - Biological Valuation Map (EVINBO).

Details

The state of biodiversity in the agricultural area is deteriorating, with negative consequences for biodiversity outside the agricultural area, for agriculture itself and for resilience to climate change. With the Agricultural Biodiversity Monitoring Network we are trying to better monitor this condition, as a basis for targeted measures to reverse the decline.

The Biological Valuation Map (BWK) component aims to monitor biodiversity in the agricultural area with field inventories and smart image recognition. As additional policy support, a methodology will be developed to translate area-wide data (including BWK) into a suitability assessment in the focus areas from the relevant species protection programs.

Extra attention will be paid to field communities. We will combine, supplement and validate the existing knowledge gaps in monitoring, typology and current distribution.
