Ruby tiger Phragmatobia fuliginosa (Linnaeus, 1758) (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) found feeding on Crassula helmsii, an invasive aquatic plant

Unfortunately the abstract isn't available in English yet.
A caterpillar of the common moth Phragmatobia fuliginosa (Linnaeus, 1758) (ruby tiger) was found feeding on a stock of freshly collected samples of Crassula helmsii (Kirk) Cockayne, 1907. The specimen was isolated together with the plant for further rearing, and succesfully developed into a pupa and then an imago. Although very anecdotal, this observation is of importance, because no arthropod was known to feed on this invasive plant until very recently.
