Common breeding birds monitoring

The Common Breeding Birds Monitoring is a monitoring network of 1200 kilometer grid squares spread over Flanders. These fixed squares are inventoried 3 times a year during the breeding season. The coordination of the project and the reporting to regional, national and international authorities is done by INBO while Natuurpunt is responsible for coordinating the volunteer network.

Until 2017 a separate breeding bird database and web application were available for this, but as of 2018 the project was integrated in www.meetnetten.be (as a separate monitoring network).
