Strengthening bird and hare monitoring in the agricultural area

This pilot project aims to strengthen the existing monitoring of birds and hares in the agricultural area. In this way we can obtain better and more detailed trend data, and gain insight into the effectiveness of measures taken and planned.We focus on management or effect monitoring in a limited number of key areas, in order to assess the feasibility and scalability of this monitoring. In this way, we will gain more insight into the effectiveness of the delivered efforts, such as management agreements, species protection programmes, conditionalities, (pre-)eco-regulations, agri-environmental climate measures, non-productive investments via the Flemish Investment Fund,...
