Evaluatie van het wilddetectiesysteem op de N76. Tussentijdse evaluatie 2023

A wildlife detection system has been in place on the N76 between Meeuwen and Opglabbeek since April 2023. Drivers are warned and have to slow down from 90 km/h to 50 km/h.
Many animals use the crossing zone, most commonly roe deer and wild boar. 24% cross without detection. Walkers, horse riders, mountain bikers, ... also activate the system.
