“Produce better, eat well" is the subtitle of the Good Food Strategy of the Brussels-Capital Region. Can (sub)urban protected areas simultaneously contribute to this challenge and support biodiversity? In order to find inspiring cases, we launched an online survey in English, French and Dutch and spread it through networks on agro-ecological farming and nature conservation. We identified 76 Western-European cases of agro-ecological farming in protected areas. This database includes all of these cases. The survey was followed by in-depth interviews and the findings were summarized in this report.
