DMP voor het Agouti FAIR project. DMP for the Agouti FAIR project

De samenvatting is helaas nog niet in het Nederlands beschikbaar.
Camera traps have become an important tool for studying wild mammals over the past 20 years. The Agouti.eu platform supports this by processing and storing camera trap data securely and in a standardized manner. The platform has grown into a robust online tool with thousands of users and over 200 TB of photo material, managed within the IT infrastructure of Wageningen University & Research (WUR).
However, few users publish their data on GBIF due to a lack of user-friendly workflow, insufficient documentation, and the fact that projects are protected. This hinders wider reuse of the data. The Agouti FAIR project aims to make the existing Agouti platform FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
The goal is to improve the accessibility and reusability of camera trap data by:
1. Linking Agouti to GBIF.
2. Facilitate and encourage users to better document their projects and share metadata through a new metadata hub
linked to GBIF.
3. Lower the barrier to publishing complete datasets in GBIF.
